DiUS Computing welcomes Leanne Downer as General Manager and Steph Bannister as UX Lead

Melbourne, December 7, 2012 – Australian-based technology services company DiUS Computing announced today the recent appointment of Leanne Downer to the newly created national role of General Manager.

DiUS is a technology services firm that helps clients innovate and grow, employing more than 100 people across its Melbourne and Sydney offices.

With DiUS continuing to grow and evolve, the General Manager role was created to reinforce the company’s leadership team and support the next phase of its growth.

Leanne will manage, develop and optimise day-to-day operations as well as align operational activities with DiUS’s overall strategy across the company’s entire operation. Reporting directly to DiUS’s Principals Joe Losinno and Clency Coutet, Leanne will also focus on driving further DiUS’s culture of supporting and rewarding innovation efforts and the commercial management of key stakeholder relationships.

Leanne brings over 25 years’ experience in the software development and technology services sector to DiUS. More recently, Leanne was a Program Manager at Telstra, and prior to that, was General Manager Northern Region at Object Consulting.

In addition to Leanne Downer’s appointment, DiUS also announces the recent appointment of Steph Bannister as UX Lead to head up the DiUS UX team. Steph will be instrumental in extending DiUS’s current UX practice, he will take the lead in defining high-level UX strategies, as well as delivering innovative and best practice solutions, for clients.

Steph joins DiUS with over 10 years’ experience in digital design.  An industry recognised leader in UX, his capabilities include user experience and interface design.  His career to date includes lead UX roles at Medibank Private, Manner, SEEK, Symplicit and QuietAgent.

DiUS Principal, Joe Losinno, said the appointment reflects the importance DiUS has always placed on user experience for client projects and in developing its own commercial products.
