On a hot January day, a group of intrepid start-up entrepreneurs from the 2019 cohort of Startupbootcamp EnergyAustralia* visited the DiUS Melbourne office for inspiration and collaboration.
I work in an industry that’s still rife with stereotypes. When I asked my then eight-year-old daughter what she thought I did all day at work, she thought I spent my whole day fixing iPads and helping people with computer fails. Because that’s what the IT people at her school do.
Reflections from DiUS at Startupbootcamp selection day, 2018
To mark International Women’s Day, I wanted to celebrate women who are kicking goals and trailblazing, as well as those who are dedicated to the progress of women in their different fields. I asked the amazing women I work with at DiUS to shine a light on those women who are already pushing for progress, to talk about who had inspired them and helped them reach for more.
