About us
Startups
We help startups turn their ideas into a product and also help corporates leverage startup practices to drive innovation.
DiUS came to life 18 years ago — as a startup. When we started out, our aim was to disrupt how technology solutions were delivered and we’ve never forgotten the importance of taking a new approach to drive success. Our expertise in navigating the new has helped many clients, large and small, apply emerging technology for commercial benefit.
We also believe in the importance of a vibrant technology sector that underpins a more successful Australia for all of us. DiUS is a big supporter of investing and developing the startup ecosystem which we operate in. We are proud to be a founding Australian partner for one of the world’s largest startup accelerators, Startupbootcamp and more recently, we have joined forces with APAC based OneLenz. We work with both, sharing our unique expertise via workshops and mentoring to the startups and scale ups on topics such as technical due diligence, hiring for scale, startup finance and pricing.
And we’ve also taken our expertise to build our own startup businesses to solve problems in a really new way. From smart metering technology for the energy sector to the latest in machine learning applications applied to mining and transformative software to enhance engineering processes and more.
DiUS is where ideas are engineered—and that goes for our own ideas too.
See our products below:
Powersensor
Powersensor is a low-cost energy monitoring tool enabling households to monitor their home energy consumption and solar generation in the palm of their hand. The product comprises two DIY install IoT devices that collect the data, a unique cloud-based algorithm to analyse the data and a mobile app to make the real-time and historic insights available to the household on demand.
Pactflow
Transforming the testing process for complex microservices and APIs
Pactflow is the leading contract testing tool to help engineering teams reduce errors and increase efficiency. Farewell cumbersome and flakey end-to-end testing in distributed system—contract testing is a ‘shift left’, empowering engineering teams to test and deploy microservices, serverless functions and APIs faster, with confidence and less errors in production.
In April 2022, DiUS entered into a definitive agreement to sell its global contract-testing collaboration platform, Pactflow to SmartBear, a leading provider of software development, API and quality tools.
Datarock
Improving the speed and accuracy in mining exploration
Datarock is a machine learning-powered, cloud-based drill core image analysis platform that provides accurate, fast and consistent high-resolution information about a mineral deposit’s geology. Using computer vision and image analysis, Datarock supports more efficient decision making throughout the exploration and mining process, delivering important productivity and throughput savings to a mine’s bottom line.
In November 2021, Imdex Limited (IMDEX) entered into an agreement to acquire an initial 30% interest in Datarock for $5.5m cash.
