Applying Lean principles in a start-up: the Dropbox experience

Lean is fundamental to how we do business at DiUS, both for our own projects and those of our clients.

The following is a Slideshare presentation from one of the founders and CEO of Dropbox about how they applied Lean to the development of their product is one of our favourite examples being applied in a start-up.

Dropbox’s creative approach to what constitutes a Minimum Viable Product was incredibly simple and effective. Using a beta launch video and an email sign-up to measure interest, they saw sign-ups increase from 5,000-75,000 in one day- a metric that gave them the confidence to go ahead and build the actual product.
